September allows you to connect with the essence of each place, stroll along the streets, chat with the locals, pick up anecdotes, eat well and relax at the end of the day with a drink while watching the sunset.

Stories of pirates and castles, new buildings with great sporting venues, local gastronomy and entertainment is all you can find if you read on.

Say goodbye to summer and welcome autumn in any of these 6 Paradors where you can enjoy the coast in a different way.

A fortress facing the Atlantic

With summer in its final stretch, the weather stabilises and allows you to explore new destinations without the typical summer crowds. Imagine strolling through breathtaking scenery, enjoying the tranquillity of its beaches and letting yourself be enveloped by the charm of a historic city full of exciting legends.

Do you like pirate stories? The Parador de Baiona is special: a fortress located on the Atlantic coast with one of the most famous corsair stories of the 16th century. When Sir Francis Drake, in the service of the British crown, raided the fortress and took control of the city for a short period of time.

Combine a well-deserved holiday with a pleasant temperature, strolling along the coast and learning about its history. It's time to unwind, discover the local culture and indulge in an authentic and relaxing experience. Welcome autumn at the Parador de Baiona, experiencing the best of summer, in a more relaxed environment.

Sea and nature in perfect harmony

One of the most popular summer destinations is usually the Valencian coast. Its beaches are visited year after year by millions of tourists who fill the sand with chairs, umbrellas and coolers to enjoy an intense day at the beach.

This time of transition, summer-autumn, and the Parador de El Saler, are the perfect combination to extend a well-deserved holiday. Located between the Albufera Natural Park and the Mediterranean, this newly-built Parador offers you a multitude of activities both in and out of the sea. Football, golf and windsurfing are just some of them and you can do them on the grounds of the Parador. The beach, connected to the building by a footbridge, is the ideal place to enjoy the sea without the noise of the usual tourists. Mile after mile of fine sand and clear water that disappear into the horizon.

What's more, at this Parador you can relax on the sun loungers around the swimming pool, which will be open until November. Take a dip while listening to the chirping of the birds and welcome the next season.

Andalusian charm and shimmering landscapes

With summer coming to an end, Andalusia continues to be one of the favourite destinations for tourism at any time of the year and the Parador de Mojácar is one of our guests' favourite places.

From the Parador, you can enjoy stunning views and access to the beach. Its location is ideal for enjoying a dreamlike sunrise, as all its rooms have sea views.

For the more adventurous, the Parador is situated in a perfect location to visit some of the more secluded and less travelled coves such as the Cala del Peñón Cortado, just 22 kilometres away, or the Cala de la Granatilla, 12 kilometres away.

September bathes this town in an ideal climate where you can relax by the sea, discover its most hospitable corners or explore its charming streets.
