Take advantage of the Paradores offers
Nerja is one of the most important tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol. Located in the east of Malaga province, the town contains treasures such as the Nerja Cave, with its numerous large underground chambers where you can see the greatest concentration of artistic and symbolic expressions of Pre-history. Inside is the largest column in the world, which the Guinness Book of Records lists as being 45 metres high.
The most iconic place in Nerja is the world-famous Balcony of Europe, a spectacular viewpoint with the best panoramic view of the Mediterranean. Its historic centre also contains the famous boat of Chanquete, the legendary character from the popular Spanish TV series Verano azul, which was filmed in the town.
The Nerja coast also has numerous beaches and urban coves where you can enjoy bathing and water activities including snorkelling, scuba diving and kayaking. There is a wide variety of activities to enjoy in the surrounding area, and numerous well-signposted trails where you can discover the many special spots the Sierras Tejeda and Almijara Natural Parks.
Just 7 km from Nerja is the delightful village of Frigiliana, which has won more awards than almost any other in the Axarquia region; its historic centre is of Moorish-Mudejar origin and has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and is known as the “Town of Three Cultures.”
A little closer, 3 kilometres away, you can visit the beautiful Maro cliffs, in the Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs Nature Reserve.
The Parador de Nerja has two conference rooms that are ideal for holding all kinds of business meetings. Both the beautiful, spacious garden and the terrace are ideal places for holding your cocktail party. It is connected to the Balcony of Europe by a pedestrianised street and has a private lift to the beach, outdoor swimming pool, lawn tennis and paddle tennis court and private cark park.
