If there’s a Parador that breaks with the historical building trend to become a symbol of modernity, it’s the Parador de Antequera. Located in a garden area of the city, it’s the ideal place to relax and rest, or to celebrate any event. Its huge windows let light flood in from all corners and give you views of a magnificent Andalusian landscape, with warm sunsets over the Antequera plain and rock formations such as the Peña de los Enamorados or Lovers’ Peak.
Antequera, which is situated at the main crossroads of Andalusia, is an ideal point from which to begin exploring this region. If your goal is to relax, we recommend a sun lounger by the pool, a drink on the terrace, and the scent of grass and flowers from our pleasant gardens. This is also an ideal setting for your social gatherings or business meetings, which may be held in any of our four perfectly equipped rooms with different capacities that are at your disposal.
The hotel is so pleasant and welcoming that you’ll find it hard to leave it, to let go of the soft radiance of its rooms, and the fresh and elegant colours of its minimalist decoration; but a stroll through Antequera is definitely worth the effort. It’s worth visiting the city’s Bronze Age monuments such as the Dolmen of the cave of Menga, the Dolmen of Viera and the Dolmen of El Romeral. The basilica of Santa María and the Alcazaba de Antequera, a castle that has stood over and guarded the town since Roman times, also await your visit.
