January and February are not the same without some skiing. And to enjoy this purely winter sport, what could be better than to stay at the Parador de Vielha, located just a few metres from Baqueira Beret ski resort. A cosy mountain refuge from where you can enjoy unbeatable views of the Aran Valley. From here, you can see mountain peaks over 3,000 metres in altitude, such as Maladeta Peak and El Aneto. And that's not all. At the end of a day's sport, you can rest and relax in the marvellous spa, while also enjoying a panoramic view. Can you think of a better plan? We can't.

Near the Parador de Teruel, a Mudejar-inspired palace on the outskirts of the city, there are also many places to ski. In the heart of the Sistema Ibérico, just over 50 kilometres from the Parador, are two ski resorts: Javalambre and Valdelinares. These resorts are intended for people who want to get started in the art of skiing, as neither slope is too steep or with complicated terrain. In addition, these slopes have an area called 'Funny Track'. Here, there are boards and other tools at your disposal to help you learn how to ski. You'll love it. Or why not sit at the table and recharge your batteries in the Parador's restaurant. Make a note of these dishes: local ham, roast veal, Pilar beans a la pastora (stew), cod with Aragonese frittata or Calanda peaches. You'll love it all.

On the south-western coast of the Mediterranean and with the perfect temperature for cycling along the Costa del Sol, the Parador de Nerja awaits you atop a cliff. We offer you everything you need to enjoy a cycling trip. The Parador de Nerja is part of our cycle touring programme, providing a designated storage area, workshop and washing area, among other services. In addition, if you need some inspiration to help you decide on routes, check out the website for a variety of options, ranging from getting lost in the Acantilados de Maro Natural Park to getting close to the fantastic Lagos beach. Want to try other sporting activities? No problem: we have tennis and paddle tennis courts for you to play a few sets with friends or family.

In the north of Spain, you can also find incredible landscapes for cycling. A magnificent example is the area around the Parador de Argómaniz, also included in the cycle tourism programme. Would you like to find traces of prehistoric times? Ask us about the route that will take you back to the beginnings of human history. Without even realising it, you will go from exploring the rich history of the area to entering the Garaio Nature Reserve, located opposite the Parador. Enjoy its luscious vegetation and autochthonous fauna. Maples and ash trees, together with friendly robins, badgers and hedgehogs, offer you an idyllic setting for exercise. For example, the "Whispers of the Forest" experience consists of a tour through the chestnut groves that abound in the village's beautiful woodland. Through a "forest bath", a practice that began in Japan and that benefits body and mind, you will connect with the natural environment. And how about adding a bit of culture to your journey? A "Journey to the Interior of the Geopark", will surprise you as you visit the Costanaza mines, an enclave with a collection of rocks more than 600 million years old. If the idea of playing golf appeals to you, Paradores is an essential stop. Several of our establishments have courses and facilities designed to offer a competitive golfing experience. One such example is the Parador de El Saler. Its golf course is recognised by professionals and the specialised press as one of the best in the world. The course has a variety of areas, ranging from beach links to typical Mediterranean forest areas. A total of 6,042 metres, spread over 18 holes, await you for a fantastic game. We also have a golf school, driving range, club hire and snack bar to enhance your competition.

The Parador de Málaga Golf also stands out for its course, managed in collaboration with one of the most prestigious high-performance clubs, Black Iron Golf.
