The Parador de Vielha is the ideal place to enjoy the nature of the Val d’Aran and the snow on the nearby Baqueira-Beret ski slopes. At the Parador you can enjoy a massage service, relax in the spa, the indoor and outdoor swimming pool, solarium terrace, sun loungers, jacuzzi and sauna. Vielha is the capital of the Val d'Aran. It combines the serene air of the mountains with the liveliness that comes with being a leading tourist attraction. Its historic centre boasts beautiful houses, charming craft stores and shops where you can buy the delicacies of the region. To learn about Aranese customs, the best thing to do is to visit the Tor deth Generau Martrinhon, a 17th century palace that has been converted into an interesting ethnological museum. If you visit the church of Sant Miguel you’ll see a 12th century Romanesque Christ and the famous “Cabinet of the Six Keys” where the documents concerning the valley were kept

Vielha is a small Pyrenean town, capital of the Val d'Aran, has a beautiful historic quarter where you can find all kinds of shops specialising in adventure sports, high mountain and snow sports. And if there is one thing Vielha is known for, it is its stunning scenery. Surrounded by the mountains of the Catalan Pyrenees, the town is the perfect destination for mountain sports and nature lovers, as the ski resort of Baqueira is just 20 minutes away by car. When the snow is not there, Vielha's surroundings invite you to go hiking, mountain biking and sightseeing in the most traditional corners of the area.
Vielha is famous not only for its landscapes, but also for its Romanesque routes, its architecture and its history. The Val d’Aran has the highest concentration of churches and sanctuaries, with the church of Sant Miquéu de Vielha, in the historic town centre, standing out, where you’ll also find the Val d’Aran Ethnological Museum and the Wool Museum.
