The Season’s Final Indulgence
31 de August 2026

Valeria Castro and Carminho bid farewell to ‘Caprichos Musicales’ at the Parador de Mazagón.

On September 26, the Parador de Mazagón will host the concert that serves as the fitting grand finale to a new edition of Caprichos Musicales—the performance series that transforms some of Paradores’ most extraordinary landmarks into stages where music, gastronomy, and heritage engage in a unique dialogue.

For this farewell, two of the most stirring voices in Iberian music will share the stage for an unrepeatable encounter: Valeria Castro and Carminho.

The delicacy of contemporary singer-songwriter compositions and the timeless emotion of fado will intertwine overlooking the Atlantic, in a privileged setting embraced by the pine forests and dunes that herald the proximity of the Doñana National Park.

Two voices capable of making time stand still

At just 26 years old, Valeria Castro has established herself as an indispensable figure in Spanish-language music. Winner of the Ondas Award for Musical Phenomenon of the Year 2025, with three consecutive Latin Grammy nominations and two Goya Award nominations, the singer from La Palma is experiencing one of the most brilliant chapters of her career.

Her new album, El cuerpo después de todo, reflects an artistic and personal evolution that has led her to embark on an ambitious international tour spanning 17 countries and to grace some of the grandest stages on the musical landscape. Her singing style, intimate and deeply emotional, renders every concert a shared experience with the audience.

Joining her will be Carminho, one of the premier ambassadors of contemporary fado and one of Portugal’s most internationally acclaimed artists. Heir to one of the great dynasties of fado, she has masterfully honored tradition while opening it to new musical horizons.

Throughout her career, she has collaborated with artists such as Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Pablo Alborán, Marisa Monte and, most recently, Rosalía, cementing a distinctive artistic language that has carried fado to stages across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Her new work, Eu vou Morrer de Amor ou Resistir, inaugurates a new creative phase that audiences can experience live during this tour.

A setting where music finds its home

Just a few meters from one of the most beautiful beaches on the Huelva coast, the Parador de Mazagón rises amidst pine forests and dunes at the gateway to Doñana National Park. A privileged enclave where the landscape, the silence, and the ocean converge to create the perfect atmosphere for a concert of this caliber.

As evening falls and the Atlantic light begins to shift, the Parador becomes an incomparable stage.

Much more than a concert

Caprichos Musicales offers a complete, curated experience designed for the total enjoyment of its guests.

The evening commences with a welcome cocktail prior to the concert. Afterward, the emotion continues around a dinner inspired by the region's culinary heritage, and the night culminates with an overnight stay at the Parador. Upon waking, a flawless breakfast awaits to reminisce over the highlights of the night before.

So now you know: on September 26, we have a date to celebrate the final Capricho Musical of the year, to be written in Mazagón. A unique opportunity to bid farewell to summer alongside two of the most moving voices in Iberian music, and to immerse yourself in an experience where nature, gastronomy, and emotion intertwine.

We look forward to welcoming you!
