The Parador de Cangas de Onís is the perfect place to travel with children. In addition to its location, in the heart of the Picos de Europa, the Parador offers several activities that will allow them to learn first-hand about the customs, flora and fauna of the region. Through the Nature for the Senses programme, learn first-hand about the herding of the Xaldas sheep with sheepdogs, follow the Pepín route and visit a farm or visit a livestock farm and feed the calves. In addition, for the more intrepid, an activity booklet is available for kids to play detective and look for native plants and animals in the surrounds of the Parador.

If you are looking for a hotel that has a dedicated plan especially for children, the Parador de Mojácar has a mini-club where kids can have fun. Children from 4 to 12 years old are welcome every day from Monday to Saturday, from 11:00h to 15:00h. There are different activities adapted to the number and age of children attending, including karaoke, musical games, face painting, craft workshops and film sessions.

Also, if your children are Harry Potter fans, the Parador de Zafra has an activity dedicated to the most famous wizard in children's literature. On 6 and 13 August the activity "Harry Potter in the castle" takes place. This includes card games, scarf games and a treasure hunt.

For tree and plant lovers, the Parador de Chinchón offers a botanical treasure hunt. The little ones have to be very observant and complete a series of tests by observing the fruit trees in the Parador's garden and orchard.
