In summer the maximum temperature in Vilalba is around 24 ºC. If you are looking to escape from the heat and you fancy some cultural and nature trips, we recommend you visit Terra Chá. In Sierra del Gistral you will find a natural ecosystem filled with unique and endangered species. Or if you prefer, visit the town of Mondoñedo, declared a World Heritage Site. It includes its historic quarter, which is part of the network of the Most Beautiful Villages in Spain, and the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And if you do not want to forsake the coast, the famous Las Catedrales beach is just 45 minutes from the Parador.

Olite is a city renowned for its cultural offer. Not subject to extreme temperatures, it is the perfect place to stroll through the streets in peace and quiet and soak up the magic of the Middle Ages present at every corner. Wandering aimlessly around the city centre, imagining the scenes of daily life in the Middle Ages or discovering the coats of arms on the noble mansions are just some of the visits that will take you back in time. The tourist attraction par excellence is the spectacular Royal Palace, next to the Parador. It was the seat of the Kingdom of Navarre from the time of Charles III, "The Noble". Today it is the epicentre of the Olite Classical Theatre Festival during the summer.

Green landscapes always help to escape the heat. The Parador de Cervera de Pisuerga is in the middle of the Natural Park of Fuentes Carrionas and Fuente Cobre. Its lush vegetation offers a multitude of charming hiking routes. These include the Roblón de Estalava Route and the Fossil Forest Trail, a rocky environment that still retains the remains of trees that existed 300 million years ago. Cervera also has a very interesting gastronomic culture. Do not leave without trying the "Meat from Cervera and Montaña Palentina" in the Parador restaurant. You will appreciate it.

La Seu d'Urgell combines sport, leisure and nature. A trip with a wide variety of options, especially if you come with your family. Sightseeing in this Lleida town should start with the historic quarter. Here you will find the only Romanesque cathedral in Catalonia, the basilica of Santa Maria. Segre Nature Reserve is another highlight, the perfect place to embark on a canoe trip along the long canals. If you feel like getting out of the town centre, Andorra is just 10 kilometres away, with a wide range of cultural, natural and leisure activities. And to enjoy some time to disconnect, take the opportunity to take a dip in the Parador's heated swimming pool.

SPECTACULAR BEACHES JUST A STONE'S THROW FROM OUR PARADORS

La Gomera is a paradisiacal setting with unbeatable beaches just a few kilometres from the Parador, such as Avalo beach, just 8 minutes away. Enjoy a swim surrounded by palm trees and a myriad of colours typical of the archipelago. Another nearby alternative is next to Hermigua Valley, a beach known as La Caleta. Tucked away from civilisation, it offers unbeatable views of Mount Teide and a characteristic black sand beach. Or, if you do not feel like moving, our swimming pool awaits you to cool off and relax.

The Parador de El Saler is one of those places you will not want to leave. It has direct access to the only wild beach in the municipality, one of the best golf courses in Spain, a beautiful swimming pool where you can relax and a restaurant with a cuisine you will not forget. What's more, the city of Valencia is just a few minutes away for you to visit as often as you like. Or if you would prefer a more direct connection with nature, take the opportunity to discover the Natursenda that surrounds the Parador golf course or go on a boat trip on the lagoon.

From our Parador, not only will you not have to travel long kilometres to cool off, but you will also be able to leave your car behind. Nearby are several beaches including Caracola beach, awarded the blue flag and ideal for a stroll along the shore or water sports, Gurugú beach, essentially quiet and located next to the Círculo Mercantil e Industrial or Mar Chica beach, less crowded and a better choice if you want to take a nap on the beach or read your favourite book. But even without leaving the Parador, from the moment you get up until you go to bed you can enjoy the views of the Mediterranean from our establishment.
