One of the great assets of Paradores is its presence in almost all of Spain. Our objectives are based on strengthening our relationship with the communities in order to continue contributing to local development, without forgetting the particularities of each destination.
Cultural sustainability
We are pioneers in the recovery and preservation of historic buildings in the field of hospitality and tourism. We currently have more than 40 establishments located in protected buildings, under the denomination of Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC), such as monuments and historic sites. In addition, Paradores has an artistic collection with more than 9,000 pieces made up of paintings, sculptures, engravings, photographs, archaeological pieces, furniture, tapestries, decorative arts, etc.
We promote the tourist destinations in which we are present through a wide range of cultural activities.
Commitment to local gastronomy
Our commitment to sustainable development is also very significant in our gastronomy. Throughout its history, our restaurants have been characterised by being the guardians of the gastronomic roots of the place and the environment in which each Parador is located. Local products and the recipes of traditional Spanish cuisine are still today the foundation of our gastronomic offer, which is based on tradition.
We take part in the main Spanish gastronomic events to promote our culinary art beyond our borders. We also play a leading role in the activities held by local and regional entities.
Social action
Another of the company's values is its social commitment. We collaborate with different solidarity projects based on an internal procedure that establishes priority criteria for the selection of beneficiary entities and causes.
