Parador de León

The Hostal San Marcos, a former emblem of the influential Order of Santiago and one of the most representative monuments of the Spanish Renaissance, has been home to the Parador de León, a living museum of history and modernity, since 1986.

Refurbished in an avant-garde style that cleverly combines past and present, the Hostal San Marcos is packed with incredible spaces, such as its cafeteria located under an impressive ceiling by the painter Lucio Muñoz, the terrace on the banks of the Bernesga River, or the Chapter House, with regal Mudejar coffered ceilings.

Today, San Marcos houses an art collection that combines tradition and modernity. Inside, it houses an exceptional antique collection, including figures by Juan de Juni and the 16th-century choir stalls, along with a contemporary art exhibition that includes works by Fernando Zóbel, Eduardo Chillida and José Caballero, as well as an exclusive collection of 32 oil paintings by the painter José Vela Zanetti.

Parador de La Granja

The Parador de La Granja is in the town of La Granja de San Ildefonso, 11 kilometers from Segovia. The impressive building is in the Casa de los Infantes, which was built in the 18th century by Carlos III for his sons, the Infantes Gabriel and Antonio. The decoration is modern, the rooms are bright and comfortable, and the historical and natural surroundings, along with the swimming pool, make the hotel a perfect place to relax, rest and enjoy the elegant beauty of the place.

Inside, it’s very comfortable and pleasant, its rooms have sea views and on the terrace, you can enjoy delicious rice dishes, fish and fideuás.

Parador de Jaén

At the top of the hill of Santa Catalina, next to the castle of the same name, stands the Parador de Jaén, crowning the city and offering visitors a spectacular view of the mountains of the Sierra Morena and Sierra Mágina.

There you’ll fund a traditional look that combines sober defensive architecture with regional craftsmanship that will take you to another age.

Parador de Guadalupe

The Parador de Guadalupe stands next to the Royal Monastery and the Plaza de Santa María, in an impressive Mudejar complex of the 15th-16th c. There you’ll discover a comfortable, welcoming space where arched arcades and greenery offer a sensation of peace and quiet.

The Parador’s large white walled rooms and decoration that evokes its medieval past alternate with magnificent spaces such as the cloister, with arches and latticework inspired by ancient Moorish design, and a beautiful back garden where you can delight in the ponds and fountains. The swimming pool and many of the rooms also have terraces where you can enjoy exclusive views of the Royal Monastery.

Parador de Hondarribia

A stone’s throw from France, on the very band, is Charles V’s castle, which houses the Parador de Hondarribia. A 10th-century construction used for military defence on the River Bidasoa, which explains the thick walls and the height of the building, where the Catholic Monarchs, the Emperor Charles V, Philip IV and V, and even Velázquez himself stayed. It contains treasures such as the tapestries designed by Rubens on the theme of the History of Achilles.

Important: The historical character of the building makes its pedestrian access present some difficulties. If you have any mobility problems, please contact the Parador, where they will inform you of the best way to access.
