The Parador de Vielha is the ideal place to enjoy the nature of the Val d’Aran and the snow on the nearby Baqueira-Beret ski slopes. To learn about Aranese customs, the best thing to do is to visit the Tor deth Generau Martrinhon, a 17th century palace that has been converted into an interesting ethnological museum. If you visit the church of Sant Miguel you’ll see a 12th century Romanesque Christ and the famous “Cabinet of the Six Keys” where the documents concerning the valley were kept

Surrounded by the mountains of the Catalan Pyrenees, the town is the perfect destination for mountain sports and nature lovers, as the ski resort of Baqueira is just 20 minutes away by car. When the snow is not there, Vielha's surroundings invite you to go hiking, mountain biking and sightseeing in the most traditional corners of the area.
Vielha is famous not only for its landscapes, but also for its Romanesque routes, its architecture and its history. The Val d’Aran has the highest concentration of churches and sanctuaries, with the church of Sant Miquéu de Vielha, in the historic town centre, standing out, where you’ll also find the Val d’Aran Ethnological Museum and the Wool Museum.
