The Parador de La Granja is in the town of La Granja de San Ildefonso, 11 kilometers from Segovia. The impressive building is in the Casa de los Infantes, which was built in the 18th century by Carlos III for his sons, the Infantes Gabriel and Antonio. The decoration is modern, the rooms are bright and comfortable, and the historical and natural surroundings, along with the swimming pool, make the hotel a perfect place to relax, rest and enjoy the elegant beauty of the place.
Inside the Parador there are three interior courtyards on four levels, which are visible through galleries of semi-circular arches.
After the main building, the former barracks of the Guardia de Corps now houses the Parador’s modern Guardia de Corps Conference and Convention Centre, just 55 minutes from Madrid.
This exclusive venue has 16 meeting rooms with capacity for more than 600 people.
The La Granja de San Ildefonso Royal Site, which has been declared a Historic Monumental Site, was the favourite palace of Philip V. The Royal Palace boasts richly decorated interior, the Tapestry Museum, the Marble Room and the majestic French-shaped gardens.
The La Granja Royal Glass Factory is another essential stop during your visit.

The La Granja de San Ildefonso Royal Site, which declared Site of Historic Buildings, was the place chosen by Philip V to build what would become his favourite palace. The Royal Palace of La Granja is one of the best examples of the monarchical splendour of the 18th century. It highlights include the sumptuous interior decoration, its Marble Hall, the Tapestry Museum and the majestic French-shaped gardens. Outside the royal grounds is the Royal Glass Factory and the baroque church of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores. And for nature lovers, the Pinar de Valsaín offers endless trails and hiking routes.
The city of Segovia is only 10 kilometres away. You can join one of the guided tours to visit the Roman Aqueduct, the splendid Alcazar and the impressive Romanesque churches and monasteries. You can also see the remains of the city wall that protected the city.
In the surroundings of La Granja is the Royal Site of Riofrio. The Royal Palace is surrounded by the Riofrio Forest, a natural place of extraordinary ecological value.
The Guardia de Corp Conference and Convention Centre is a few minutes from Segovia and less than an hour from Madrid. It is independent of the Parador’s main building, it’s near the Royal Gardens and it has ample capacity to host large events. We also offer the option of courses and wine tastings run by the Parador’s sommelier.
