Parador de Mérida

The Parador de Mérida, one of the first in the network of Paradores, stands on the site of the Roman praetorium, on top of the ruins of the temple dedicated to the Concord of Augustus, inside a 17th c. Baroque monastery founded by the hospitaller order of the Franciscan monks.

 

Located in the heart of the city, the Parador breathes heritage and history. The facilities, which include an outdoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and solarium, merges with historical spaces such as the cloister with Romanesque columns and the main salon, which was the previously chapel and is now an ideal place for any kind of celebration and event.

Parador de Sigüenza

The Medieval castle that houses the Parador de Sigüenza dominates the entire city. Kings, cardinals and bishops resided in this 12th century fortress that was built over an Arab citadel. Both the interior and exterior of the castle are impressive. The cobbled courtyard, the rooms with wooden balconies, the 13th century Romanesque chapel and the vaulted dining room will take you on a journey back in time.

Parador de Manzanares

In a privileged location in the province of Ciudad Real, between the Natural Park of Cabañeros, the Lagunas de Ruidera and the Tablas de Daimiel lies the Parador de Manzanares. It is a Castilian house in which the architecture and its personality have been preserved, with elegant balconies, extensive gardens, children's playgrounds, spacious lounges and swimming pool. It also has a bicycle rental service. In its restaurant there is no shortage of typical dishes including Migas del pastor, Manchego lamb shoulder, Tiznao de bacalao and Pisto manchego.

Parador de Lerma

You enjoy the Parador de Lerma already from dozens of kilometres away. The Ducal Palace of Lerma stands, elegant and sober, at the top of the town; it has stone walls, more than 200 iron balconies and four towers with slate roofs.

Parador de León

The Hostal San Marcos, a traditional emblem of the influential Order of Santiago and one of the most representative monuments of the Spanish Renaissance, has been home since 1986 for the Parador de León, a living museum that combines history and modernity.

 

Restored in an avant-garde style that wisely combines past and present, the Hostal San Marcos is full of incredible spaces, such as the cafeteria located under a ceiling created by the painter Lucio Muñoz, the terrace on the banks of the river Bernesga, and the Chapter Hall, with a magnificent Mudejar coffered ceiling.

Parador de La Palma

Parador de Gredos

The story of Paradores started here, amongst green pine forests, rugged mountains and crystal-clear waters. The Parador de Gredos was inaugurated on 9 October 1928 by Alfonso XIII as the first establishment in the Paradores Network.

 

Built from materials taken from the manor house of Villacastín, the robust stone and slate exterior conceals a comfortable interior inspired by traditional Castilian design, where rustic wooden décor creates spaces that are both dignified and welcoming and makes the terraces spectacular viewing points of the Sierra de Gredos.

Parador de Las Cañadas del Teide
