Parador de Santillana Altamira

In the heart of Santillana del Mar, the Parador de Santillana Altamira blends naturally into one of Cantabria’s most distinctive historic towns. Its newly built structure recreates traditional mountain architecture and respects the character of its surroundings. The Parador offers a calm, stately atmosphere, with spaces designed for enjoying a relaxed stay in a setting of great heritage value. Its spacious terrace and garden invite guests to unwind, while its bright, generously sized function rooms are equipped to host meetings, gatherings and events in a particularly well-kept setting.

What to do in Parador de Santillana del Mar

Santillana del Mar was declared a national monument thanks to having one of the richest historical and artistic heritages of any town in Spain.
It is also one of the most unique towns in Cantabria, world famous for the prehistoric paintings of the Altamira Caves, considered the "Sistine Chapel" of cave art. Access to the paintings is currently restricted.
