Parador de Plasencia
In the heart of this historical city stands the Parador de Plasencia, inside the Monastery of San Vicente Ferrer, which forms part of the 15th c. monumental complex built by the Zúñiga and Pimentel families, dukes of Plasencia.
As you enter you are greeted by an impressive building of vaulted ceilings, elegant stone walls and magnificent coffered ceilings, which, combined with its exquisite décor, will take you to another age. The Parador also has an exclusive night bar in the old monastery wine cellar, where you can relax and enjoy the evening in a fantastic setting.
Parador de Mérida
The Parador de Mérida, one of the first in the network of Paradores, stands on the site of the Roman praetorium, on top of the ruins of the temple dedicated to the Concord of Augustus, inside a 17th c. Baroque monastery founded by the hospitaller order of the Franciscan monks.
Located in the heart of the city, the Parador breathes heritage and history. The facilities, which include an outdoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and solarium, merges with historical spaces such as the cloister with Romanesque columns and the main salon, which was the previously chapel and is now an ideal place for any kind of celebration and event.
