The Parador de Benicarló is just a few steps away from the beach. It’s a comfortable hotel with a simple decor that offers rooms overlooking the sea. It’s surrounded by an exceptional garden that’s directly connected to the waves and a swimming pool that stays open all summer until October. The Mediterranean cuisine is the star of the dishes produced in our restaurant. There’s no shortage of fish or garden produce, such as the splendid Benicarló artichoke, with its own designation of origin.
Benicarló is a modern maritime city, washed by a blue sea and it enjoys a wonderful climate. Its three beaches, Morrongo, La Caracola and La Mar Xica, are ideal spots for swimming. But there’s also culture. You can visit the Baroque church of San Bartolomé and the City Cultural Museum in Benicarló. And its surroundings are home to the Iberian settlements of Puig de la Nao and Tossa.
Not only does the Parador offer you a peaceful haven where you wake up and have breakfast overlooking the sea, enjoy the well-tended garden, and walk on until your toes touch the sand; but it’s also a dynamic city where you can go out for a drink on summer nights or practice active tourism in the Benicarló-Peñíscola Nautical Resort.

The Costa del Azahar bathes this Mediterranean city where the beaches give way to a medieval old town that’s full of stately homes. The best way to explore it is by walking; its pedestrian streets will take you to the Church of San Bertolomé, a baroque shrine that’s well worth a visit, and to the marina. Outside the heart of the town you’ll come across the Iberian settlements of Puig de la Nao and Tossa.
Just a few kilometres away is the town of Peñíscola, where you’ll find the castle-fortress that was the residence of Pope Benedict XIII. You’ll love strolling through its old quarter as you admire the historical and cultural wealth of this strategic Mediterranean enclave. The Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Salud (25 km) and the Ebro Delta (30 km) are other places favoured by visitors.
Situated in front of the sea and surrounded by an exotic garden of palm trees, it has spaces for all kinds of events, a rice bar in the summer, and a private outdoor area with gardens and water ponds where barbecues and dances can be held. We also have private halls with terraces.
