The Parador de Lorca is located in the grounds of the castle of Lorca, a quality cultural and tourist area in which this 21st century hotel shares the space with medieval remains and archaeological sites. A journey through history with the comfort of a contemporary design, ideal for short breaks or business trips during which you can relax in the indoor pool, spa, or on the spacious terraces overlooking the city. The hotel also offers several large rooms for meetings, business events and all kinds of celebrations.
The building, constructed with local materials, has a distinct personal style that blends in perfectly with the heritage of the site.
The remains found in the archaeological excavation prior to the construction of the Parador, including the fifteenth-century synagogue in perfect condition after the passage of the centuries, can be seen inside the building.
The same enclosure also contains the Fortress of the Sun, ancient citadel and symbol of Lorca, an Islamic cistern and part of the Almohad wall that protected the hill on which the ensemble is built.
In Lorca city centre, you can visit museums and monuments including the Town Hall, the Collegiate Church of San Patricio and the old Convent of La Merced, where the Visitor Centre is located.
Numerous coats of arms can be seen along the streets of the city, giving it the title of "City of the Hundred Coats of Arms".
Leaving the history to one side, depart from the city for the beaches and coves with crystal clear water where you can enjoy a refreshing swim.

Beautiful spots are hidden away in the old quarter of the city of Lorca for you to discover: medieval walls, Christian towers, Jewish quarters, cisterns, synagogues, orange groves and vineyards. The heritage of the three civilisations, Christian, Jewish and Muslim, that inhabited the city. In the streets of the city centre, discover stately homes, palaces, churches and numerous coats of arms.
Lorca’s main monument is the castle.
The Fortress of the Sun rises on a hill overlooking the whole city.
Remains of the Almohad wall, the defence towers and other Islamic constructions are visible. Next to this are the remains of the Lorca Jewish quarter and the 15th century synagogue discovered during the construction of the Parador.
Other points of interest in Lorca include the Palacio de Guevara, the Casa de los Condes de San Julián, the Museo de Bordados de Semana Santa and the Plaza de España.
Outside the city, discover beaches and coves with crystal clear water along the Murcian coast.
