Ein Hotel in sensationeller Lage. Ein beeindruckendes Bauwerk. Sehr schöner Innenhof.
Die Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen und nicht sehr sauber.
Für einen Vegetarier gibt es im Hauptgang kein Angebot. Also ohne Fisch oder Fleisch. Das Personal ist nicht gerade freundlich und überfordert. Auch weil nur 2 Kellner etwa 45 Gäste bewirten mussten. Bei Nachfrage, ob der Küchenchef etwas zusammenstellen kann, kam die Antwort, dass es aus Madrid so vorgegeben wird. Da es der zweite Parador auf der Reise war und die Karten fast identisch waren, verringerte es noch einmal die Auswahl . Am 2.Abend auf den Hauptgang verzichtet. Es gab 2 vegetarische Vorspeisen.
Ohne Halbpension hätten wir mehr Freude an dem Aufenthalt gehabt.
Una parada en el camino para descansar, disfrutar de la piscina y de alguna visita a pueblos cecanos de los alrededores (ya conocíamos la propia Antequera de visitas anteriores). Destacable la magnífica cocina y su esfuerzo por ofrecer platos andaluces.
This Parado is defintely a cut above the normal excellent level of Paradors. All rooms are on the side of the hill , yes, the lifts all go down! We booked half board and were very impressed with the restaurant & staff. One of the bar staff was a bit gruff and wouldn´t serve us food at 1555. I think these paradors miss a trick by not offering food all day - at least a sandwich or something. Our room was a superior one - you get an enclosed terrace with views of the estuary. Well worth the extra cost. Shame there´s no coffee/tea making facilites any more. The hotel restaurant food was excellent as were all the serving staff. Highly recommend this Parador.
I would have appreciated more.details about the refurbishment when booking. The swimming pool is not available and my room overlooks a building site, with associated noise.
PARADORES siempre es nuestra elección preferida para nuestros viajes por España; los principales atractivos para nosotros son sus edificios emblemáticos, la atención personalizada al cliente y, por supuesto, la restauración, que siempre es una experiencia única para descubrir la cocina de la zona. En cualquier caso, quiero manifestar la mala experiencia que tuvimos en el restaurante del Parador de Limpias: el servicio y la organización se podrían cualificar como muy deficientes, poca o nula profesionalidad y descoordinación total del servicio (estos hechos ocurrieron en la cena del 17/09
We were very sad to find that the beautiful gardens that make this hotel special were a building site . I think it should have been mentioned when we booked as the garden was a big part of the reason to choose the hotel . The sound of cement mixers was the accompaniment of our stay. The young man who greeted us and helped us park was delightful and the cafeteria staff friendly. Overall our brief stay was pleasant but it could have been so much better.
