We stayed here and really enjoyed are staying in Salamanca, which we thought was a great city
The hotel is nice but could do with a little bit more care to make it great.
We booked a suite on the sixth floor. The room was big but noisy from the lift clunking and clanking as it carried passengers. The windows did not open and close very well (also noisy from the wind howling around them) which was needed as the room was hot and there was no a/c available.
The rugs were very slippy on the floor and need a special gripper for tiled floors. We could not operate the bath, as there were no instructions and we couldn't even get water into the bath let alone get the jets to operate.
The breakfast was good but a little chaotic. It wasn't clear on how to get any eggs. Hot water for the tea needed to be requested and no one asked us if we would like tea or coffee, so we ended up having to help ourselves. The food was , especially the fruit, of a good quality and there was plenty of it. There was a limited choice of cereals and no nut and seeds, which is provided in other hotels.
The door to the room was difficult to shut and the room could have done with a kettle, as not everyone drinks coffee in the morning.
We like Paradors and feel let down by this experience, especially as we paid for a suite .
Also please review your restaurant opening time because not all of your customers are Spanish and we tend to eat earlier than 8:30pm. Alternatively offer a better selection of food in the bar.
