Due to the improvement of access to the Gibralfaro Castle by the City Council, from January 9 to March 31, 2023, access will be limited exclusively to light vehicles that do not exceed 3.5 tons and 6 meters in length. Likewise, the service on bus line 35 is suspended. Access to the Parador, both by car and by taxi (and light vehicles in general that exceed the dimensions indicated), is not affected, although the vehicles will be diverted along Paseo de Salvador Rueda and Calle Apamares, in their current street layout. Vehicles will leave the Parador through Calle Enlace towards Paseo de Salvador Rueda. We regret any inconvenience beyond our control.
We can safely say that the Parador de Málaga Gibralfaro has the best views of the city. The hotel, built of stone, is located in a privileged position on Mount Gibralfaro and from its terrace offers the best panoramic view of the bay of Malaga. It is the perfect place for discovering the city and enjoying the leisure, sports and cultural activities that vie with the sea and the cuisine. At the Parador, you can enjoy a swim in the rooftop pool, relax in the common areas or rest in the rooms overlooking the port of Malaga. There are also spacious rooms for corporate events and private celebrations.
Do not miss the Picasso Museum in Malaga, with more than 200 works by the renowned painter. Other essential visits include the Alcazaba, the fortress palace from the Andalusi period, the Roman Theatre and the Cathedral. Next to the Parador, you can visit Gibralfaro Castle, which served as a temporary residence for Ferdinand the Catholic after the Reconquest. The Cuevas del Tesoro are in the beautiful town of Rincon de la Victoria, just six kilometres from Malaga. Here the sea has carved out a wonderful landscape in the limestone cliffs.
