Surrounded by exuberant nature, at the foot of the imposing Monte Perdido, lies the Parador de Bielsa. Situated in the heart of the Pineta Valley, this hotel is the ideal starting point for excursions, mountain sports, or simply a break from routine.
The building, which dates back to 1968, was renovated in 2002 to expand its room and restaurant capacity. A modern building that looks like a mountain shelter, stone and wood are the predominant materials used in its construction. Its cuisine, a point of reference in the region, is noteworthy for its inclusion of game, veal from Aragon, and homemade desserts such as Pasteras and Teresitas.
The Pineta Valley is the most spectacular enclave in the Wild Pyrenees. An impressive cirque born from glacial ice and the waters of the river Cinca, which sustains this landscape of waterfalls, beech forests and the impressive vegetation that abounds in this area. It is also the gateway to the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The beautiful town of Bielsa has an old quarter with gems such as the Romanesque chapel of Nuestra Señora de Pineta. It’s famous for its carnival, held at the end of winter, when unique characters parade through the streets and ancestral traditions are renewed.

The Bielsa Valley is a mountainous region in the Wild Pyrenees. It’s situated at the foot of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, and only a few kilometres away from the French Pyrenees and its ski slopes. The old quarter of the town of Bielsa has charming rural houses and Romanesque buildings such as the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de Pineta. Don't miss out on the Photographic Museum which displays images from the past. Drive for half an hour to reach L'Ainsa, the largest medieval village in Spain.
The natural environment offers a wide range of opportunities for sport. Hiking, climbing the valley’s peaks, rock climbing and canyoning through its spectacular gorges, and mountain bike routes are some options. Or take a 4x4 excursion to the lookout points of Ordesa which includes a picnic with artisanal products and free entrance to a nature museum (FCQ). Ask for more information at the Parador.
