[email protected]Situated on the gorge of the river Guadalete, the Parador de Arcos de la Frontera, the old Casa del Corregidor, offers an impressive view of the Sierra de Cádiz and the old quarter of the village.
The Parador is in a privileged location within the village: next to the Plaza del Cabildo and the Convent of the Mercedarias. The interior will delight you with its views of the rooms and its beautiful Andalusian patio, decorated with traditional trelliswork and tiles. It also makes the perfect starting point for the Wine Routes and the Route of the White Villages of Cádiz.
Built shortly after Arcos de la Frontera was declared a Historical-Artistic Architectural Complex of National Interest, the Parador is a faithful reflection of local architectural styles. A façade of three floors built in the Neo-Classical style leads you into a small entranceway that opens up onto a traditional Andalusian patio.
Arcos is also one of the most beautiful villages of the Sierra de Cadiz. Perched on a mountain, the brilliant white of its houses and the labyrinthine layout of its streets, based on a Moslem street plan, make it an ideal place to lose yourself in.

Take advantage of the Paradores offers
Arcos de la Frontera is one of the region’s most visited destinations. Its old quarter, which was declared a National Historical-Artistic Monument, is regarded as one of the most beautiful in Andalusia. There you can discover impressive monuments such as the churches of San Pedro and Santa María, both dating from the 15th century. And if you prefer to relax and admire the spectacular surroundings near the town, you can take the route of the viewing points of Arcos and enjoy the views.
Arcos is the entrance to a rich and varied region. If you like culture, then set off on the Route of the White Villages of Cádiz and discover the Roman cities concealed in towns such as Bornos, Ubrique and Benaocaz. If you’re interested in the local way of life, explore the Route of the Bulls and visit the local livestock breeders, or enjoy the winemaking heritage on the Wine Routes of Cádiz. For sports lovers, there is a wide range of activities such as caving, hiking, canyoning, paragliding and cycle-tourism, or sailing and canoeing on the Lago de Arcos, with its artificial beach called the Playita de Arcos.
The Parador, formerly the Casa del Corregidor, is located in the middle of the Plaza del Cabildo, which also houses the Town Hall and the Ducal Castle, an Islamic fortress rebuilt in the 15th century.
There are also several tourist routes to explore the surrounding area. In addition to the aforementioned Route of the White Villages, the Route of the Bull, the Wine Route, the Route of the Coast and the Route of the Roman Cities are equally attractive options.
The Parador de Arcos de la Frontera has several halls that are used according to our guests’ requests.
