Ronda; a Gem in Nature and a Trip through History.
27 de March 2018

Are you looking for somewhere with history? Ronda is a wonderful place where you'll find a Parador. Do you want to know a bit more? Arunda, as the Celts called it, is one of the oldest cities in Spain. It has diverse architecture and is located in the province of Malaga. Its origins date back to the Neolithic period, although its most important role was with the arrival of the Nasrid dynasty. In 1485 it was conquered by the Catholic Monarchs. Finally, in the 18th century two important monuments were built: the Puente Nuevo bridge and the bullring. These are very close to the Parador which was opened in 1994.

Parador de Ronda

The Parador de Ronda is quite high up, next to the Puente Nuevo bridge, which splits the city in two. The natural surroundings are no less beautiful than the city, which is surrounded by protected areas and the Sierra de la Grazalema, Sierra de las Nieves and Los Alcornocales Natural Parks.

Book and enjoy the gastronomy in the Parador's restaurant with privileged views of the cliff and a kitchen with dishes such as "ajo blanco malagueño (Malaga style cold almond and garlic soup) with smoked eels and apple caviar", "wild partridge pâté" and "Guinea fowl stuffed with shallots, asparagus and wild mushrooms with cinnamon spiced apple".
